NoQu's 2021 Theme

Hey there, QuT!

The sun is setting, dropping behind the horizon as it flees the night.

The trees shiver as their leaves collect the sunlight before slowly pouring it out into the grass, where it fades away.

Clouds step onto the scene, their gigantic forms hovering over the evening with an imposing presence.

Midnight is approaching, and with it comes a new start. A start not entierly fresh, for it is built on the foundation of yesterday, but the path before it is untrampled and ready to be explored. Yes, my friend, Morning is coming. And in the velvet drapes of Midnight, a scene is set out. When Morning comes, she will illuminate it, and we will experience it in all of its terrible wonderfulness.

For now, this new start is called "Tomorrow," but very soon it will be called "Today."

I cannot tell you the future, my friend, but I do know this; with Tomorrow's becoming of "Today," November is born.

And you know what that means.

Yes my fellow writer, tomorrow begins the very first day of Not Quite Novel Writing Month. And so, I may now tell you what the theme for this year is:

New Beginnings.

After all, in addition to each day being a fresh start, this is NoQu's beginning. This is the start of our adventure as an organization, a community, and a challenge.

This is our new start, but I'm sure every QuT is experiencing a new beginning of some sort, even if only in the form of a new day. While I'm sure that others will experience it in the form of a new story they will be writing for the challenge.

We're just hours away from Midnight. Are you ready for this new beginning?
