"It's dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no telling where you might be swept off to."
- J.R.R. Tolkien
Hey there, QuT,
Welcome to day two of November - and NoQu!
This is the second installment of our Bulletin of Vibes, the hopefully inspirational compilation of things!
Many apologies for this being posted later in the day, I had some technical difficulties (it turns out goblins really shouldn't be allowed to play near power-strips). But that's all resolved and I am finally able to post this!
Let's get started.
Word Count Challenge: 1,666
Daily Dare: Sometimes, new beginnings are blind. You don't know where you're going, or why, or even how. As you stumble your way through this one, write for 30 minutes blindfolded.
Question: How does the start of your story affect the ending?
Prompt: Your character awakens with the dawn, but something feels strange... there's a feeling of anticipation, but what could it be of?
Ambiance: Last night's travels in the carriage were long, tiring, but not without their reward. You've come a good distance for a single day, and now morning is dawning as your carriage is pulled out of the woods.
As the world begins once more, enjoy its song of serenity. And make sure you hold on to that serenity even once the sun has fully risen, for there's no telling what the rest of the day will bring...
Do you accept the word count challenge? Do you accept the dare? Would you like to share your answer to the daily question?
Let us know in the comments below!
Well now, that's all! We'll be back tomorrow with another bulletin for you.
Until then, write on!
