Word Count Goal: 1,666
Your trunks are finally packed and ready to go. It’s a crisp fall morning as you climb up into the stage coach, leather journal and quill in hand.
The words of your cousin’s telegram still fizz in your mind. Editor of a newspaper– you marvel at the title, hardly believing it belongs to you. Sure, it’s in an old mining town in the middle of nowhere, but anything’s better than the brick apartment you’ve been pacing around for the past months.
Begin your character’s journey with a note.
As the stage coach jostles you along across the country, you carry on writing your manuscript. You write until the hooves of the horses and the sounds of the night carry you off to sleep.
The ambiences can be found on our linktree under the NoQu23 Ambience Playlist.
Eat, write, sleep, eat, write, sleep… the cycle carries on, and the days blur together. Your fresh start is close– you can taste it.
Start healthy habits early. Take a bite of your snack each time you use a period to keep you fueled.
What character trait will hold your character back as their life starts to change?
“If you climb in the saddle, be ready for the ride.”
