This year, we are looking to expand our team with some awesome volunteers! We are looking for writers over the age of 18 who are excellent communicators and share our core values, as outlined in our Community Guidelines.

No matter how much you can commit to, we have a role that would fit you! Each of these roles have a different, and very important, part to play in making NoQu a fun Qummunity to be a part of. Here are the roles that are available, in order from least commitment to most.

The roles we are recruiting for are as follows:

Hospitality Team

This role is devoted to keeping activity on our website flowing! Responsibilities may include hosting word wars, assisting with the posting of official information, or posting fun things like a poll or Question of the Day. This is a very adaptable role perfect for someone who just needs an extra reason to stay accountable and is already going to be online during the season anyway, or could become more involved if you're interested. It is the cornerstone of the Qummunity, and by building out our Hospitality Team we are hoping to make the groups feel more alive so folks can feel right at home.

Write on Q Host

Hosting a WoQ is one way you can make magic for your fellow writers. Hosts are responsible for arranging prompts and time blocks to create an immersive, cooperative writing experience. This role requires dedicated blocks of time that can be determined in advance. We are hoping to find 2 or 3 people who would be able to commit to several 2.5 hour blocks of time through the challenge. Our goal is to be able to host a couple WoQs each week— at least 8 in the month of November. If you have no idea where to start, don't worry! I have completely developed a resource that makes it easy and fun. All you need is a discord account, enthusiasm, and time.

Instagram Helper

If we fill this position, it will be 1 person who would be responsible for posting stories on Instagram and potentially some other items. It's very important as we consider for this role that this person is completely aligned with our core values. The ideal candidate is humble, trustworthy, creative, flexible, and has a track record of sticking to a schedule. They would share this responsibility with the Program Advisor to ensure the NoQu Insta account remains active every single day of the challenge.
