This group is for unity in productivity! See "About" for more info.
The intention of this group is to provide a daily location for you to foray into battle with your comrades-in-arms. Everyone is encouraged to start word wars with one another so we can write together.
The way it works is this:
Make a new post
Choose a length of time
Mark the time you're starting (without the hour)
Include in the title of the post as follows: "5 minutes at :25" (you can add more if you want but these two elements are required)
In this group, feel free to share sprints and crawls and initiate word wars. Please be sure to tag them with the respective topic.
Before posting crawls and tools, please check the Topics to see if someone has already shared it.
When participating in a crawl/tool, please do so by commenting on it, not reposting the entire thing each time.
Sprint - A Sprint is when you "sprint" (write quickly) to a specific goal. Usually you set a timer and just write for the amount of time, like you would in a word war but solo.
However I've also heard the term used for sprinting to a milestone in your overall word count. For example, say your overall word count is 1,203. You may choose to sprint to the next 100, meaning you would write 97 words to make your total count 1,300.
There are many written sprints and sprinting tools, as well, which may be shared here.
Crawls - A word crawl is a challenge that combines many different features, including sprints and word wars, in a longer often RPG styled challenge.
Crawls are usually pre-written and can be found all over the internet, feel free to share them (with proper credit) or even write your own here.
Word Wars - Word Wars (WW) are when participants start writing at the same time for the same duration. Whoever has the most words at the end of it wins. Usually this is structured like so:
"Anyone want to WW at :10 for 15mins?"
Meaning when your clock reads the hour and ten minutes, you start writing for fifteen minutes. It's structured this way to prevent any confusion with time zones. The time you start and the duration can vary.
Motivation - This topic for you to share general tools and inspiration you may have found which don't distinctly fall under any of the other topics.
