The Battlefield of Writing: Word Wars
The intention of this group is to provide a daily location for you to foray into battle with your comrades-in-arms. Everyone is encouraged to start word wars with one another so we can write together.
The way it works is this:
Make a new post
Choose a length of time
Mark the time you're starting (without the hour)
Include in the title of the post as follows: "5 minutes at :25" (you can add more if you want but these two elements are required)
Once a word war is posted, people can join by commenting. They can list their starting word count if they want.
When the war is over, everyone comments the word count they got during the word war.
Whoever gets the most words wins!
If you're planning on doing a bunch of word wars in a row: put War Chain in the title, then either edit the post to add each war or comment for each new war, however you want to do it. People can still join each individual war as normal but they should mention in their comment the start time of the war they are joining.
