Bulletin 6

Thursday, November 16

Word Count Goal: 26,667

“You don’t mind if I stay the night, do you?” Their voice drops to a whisper. “The streets aren’t as safe as you’d think.”

“I don’t even know who you are…” You protest, intrigued.

“You paid me for information a month ago. I have your letter here.” They pull a note from their pocket.

“This is signed by the last editor. I’ve been looking into anything I can find that they left behind.”

Remember the legacy from Bulletin 3? Bring it back to bite your character.

The information the stranger brings starts to bring some clarity to the mystery of Black Hill, and in return you allow them to stay the night. The moon rises on the town as you consider everything.

The ambiences can be found on our linktree under the NoQu23 Ambience Playlist.

It seems your home may not be as safe as it seems. You jump awake at the crack of a gun. The stranger is already dead. In their hand is a map… almost like they meant you to take it.

Challenge a friend to write at the same time as you for a few minutes. Whoever writes more wins.

How does your character’s view of the world change in the midst of shifting circumstances?

“Sometimes, if you want to see a change for the better, you have to take things into your own hands.”

– Clint Eastwood
