Crocheters, assemble!
Anyone else here crochet? What got you started, and what's your current project? My grandmother started teaching me to crochet when I was around 8 or so, and I practiced for a few years before setting it aside pretty thoroughly. I picked it back up about three years ago and I've gotten deeper into it now that I'm older: trying more stitches, using patterns, venturing into garments, etc.
My current project is a shawl/shrug for my grandmother (the same one who got me started in the first place), and I'm also hoping to make a few miniature bees for a baby mobile as a Christmas present for my daughter. Shrug yarn: "Heathcliff" from Knit Picks Shrug pattern: Almond Flowers from Expression Fiber Arts (which is my favorite yarn/pattern shop!) Bee yarn: 'Pearlescent' fingering yarn in "mum hues" (color set no longer available) from Expression Fiber Arts Bee pattern: Tiny Bee Amigurumi by The Wandering Deer on Ravelry
