Homemaking + Babies + Writing =...
...a very tired mama 😅
I know some of us have had little additions to our families recently. Very curious as to what everyone's plans are for balancing parenthood, and homemaking, with writing this year.
Thankfully, I have a family member who can watch my baby any day 9-1. I'm breastfeeding right now and don't have a great freezer stash, but by November my baby should be partway into eating solids and I hope to have cemented a good pumping routine by then.
That being said, I think I'll aim for 1-2 days per week devoted to writing. It's not much, but it's more than I've been doing!

My plan is to sneak words in whenever I have a free moment, lol. I worked that way to finish up a short editing project I had on a deadline and it actually mostly worked (if not for vacation and a major flu day getting in the way at the very end, I think I would have managed on time). And since my daily word count goal isn't too high and I'm not planning to write every day, I think the method should work for me. Lately I've really been wanting to get together with some other local writers periodically to change the scenery and add some accountability, but that has felt like too much of a hassle to try to set up with one of mine still needing to be with me all the time. (But I also could just be making excuses to remain a homebody because that's easy. :P)
