Hello everyone! My name is Justin, or I am happy to use my online handle Fatebreak or just Fate. I'm very excited to join this new community of writers and to challenge myself to write (not quite) 50k words with all of you this November!
3 Favorite Books: A Wrinkle in Time, The Chronicles of Narnia, Ender's Game
Favorite Genres: I am very much a nerd and I'm in love with the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres. I love a good, classical style adventure story. My favorite stories are the ones with a healthy dose of philosophy and introspection built in.
I have wanted to be a writer all my life. I spent most of my childhood coming up with, and then immediately discarding, countless story ideas. Lately however, I have found that putting myself in community with other writers has helped give me focus and the confidence that I need to actually create something. It is my hope that joining NoQu will further that even more.
My working project (which just happens to be about 50k words short of a first draft), has the working title of "The Silver Sickness". It is a middle grade fantasy inspired by Narnia and Doctor Who. It is about Aiden, a 12 year old boy who discovers a magical realm in the woods behind his new home. His relationship with the eccentric wizard he meets there may be the key to healing a sickly village and his ill father.

I also loved all your favorite books and reread Ender's Game. I need to reread the others, too. Let's finish our books this November, woohoo!
